Project Overview:

SAA designed the adaptive reuse of this historic farmers market / industrial mill into a new 12,000 SF “black box” theater with an additional 27,000 SF of support facilities, including lobby, administrative offices, rehearsal rooms, classroom, dressing rooms, wardrobe production storage, and volunteer facilities. The project involved complete interior and exterior renovations and modernizations, while maintaining the important historic fabric. Restorations of the historic facade modified the character through color to reflect new use of the building.

Improvements included new HVAC, plumbing and electrical systems; new energy efficient windows and lighting; upgraded bathrooms; and utility upgrades. The design meets modern building, life safety and ADA standards and codes. Green and Sustainable features were utilized where feasible.
