The change in the way consumers shop, has resulted in a surge of large warehouse and distribution facilities across the nation. SAAarchitects has extensive experience in designing these facilities utilizing pre-engineered metal building systems, tilt-up systems where the panels and components are poured and cast on-site before they are lifted into position, precast concrete systems where they are fabricated off-site and transported to the site for erection and traditional steel post and beam construction methods. Some projects are a combination of these techniques, depending on what is the most cost effective and accomplished within the specified timeline. Some facilities for food storage require specialized foundations to accommodate the subzero constant temperatures. SAAarchitects works closely with the developers and tenants for efficient layouts and access for battery charging locations, employee amenities and the most efficient racking plans.
