Extensive exterior facade improvements were designed to modernize these 1950’s public housing units. Series of prototypes were developed for each of the various building layouts. All prototypes included front porches added to integrate with the vernacular houses and the context of the surrounding neighborhood. The exterior improvements included all new siding, asphalt, fiberglass, railing systems, shutters, new front doors, porch lighting, sidewalks and landscaping. Danika Dallam provided services including conceptual design though construction documents, public bidding and construction administration.
