SAA designed the total renovation and adaptive reuse of this circa 1911 historic former department store complex totaling 141,000 GSF for a mixed-use facility in Downtown York. Improvements included fourteen (14) commercial suites, fifty (50) apartments on the second through fourth floors of the remaining historic structure, and a private parking garage at the basement level. This project is eligible for the National Historic Register and is being considered for Federal Historic Rehabilitation Tax Credit. The project is located in the York Historic District, which SAA provided the consulting services to gain HARB approval. The design meets the Secretary of The Interiors Standards for Rehabilitation.
