TNWS Amazing Kid’s Club Celebrates Groundbreaking Ceremony
On Friday, April 21st SAAarchitects was proud to be a part of the groundbreaking ceremony for TrueNorth Wellness Services’ Amazing Kid’s Club. The club will offer counseling and therapy services to children in preschool through 21 years of age who are on the autism spectrum. We are honored to support such an impactful and inspirational program.
To design the building, cues were taken from the on-site barn structure, and items from the barn were saved in order to be authentically incorporated. The space will feature 24,000 GSF of new construction and will include 21 therapy rooms, 2 training kitchens, large gross motor skills rooms, an art room, a sensory therapy and relaxation therapy room, and meeting rooms and offices for staff members.
Our firm was able to develop and provide complete interior design services for this project, and in doing so, we got to work closely with the staff to choose the perfect finishes to enhance their therapeutic environment and properly stimulate the children who visit.
To complete this project, we;ve partnered with Holland Construction (GC,) Paragon Engineering Services (MEP,) Durst & Taylor Structural Engineers, and Gordon L. Brown Associates (civil engineers.) We look forward to seeing the beautiful building when it is complete, and to watching TNWS Amazing Kid’s Club as it expands, thrives, and changes lives! Check back for updates.

Hunter’s Hill Eye Center
Trussing to beat the storm! Hunter’s Hill Eye Center’s new location will be under roof before anyone can say: Spring Fever!
Dermatology Associates’ Center for Cosmetic Dermatology
Recently we held a ribbon cutting ceremony for the Dermatology Associates’ Center for Cosmetic Dermatology. The former 3300 GSF optometry office has been transformed through a complete interior demolition and renovation. Included in the new center is a waiting room, reception area, check-out area, product sales displays, a procedure room, exam rooms, aesthetician rooms, a numbing room, a nurse work room, a management office, a staff break room, and a archive storage area. To accommodate all their patients, the center is completely handicapped accessible for patients and includes a new entrance ramp and vestibule.
Groundbreaking Ceremony for Hunter’s Hill Eye Care
Today we were very excited to hold a groundbreaking ceremony for a medical office in York. The project includes the construction of an all-new 10,000 GSF medical office which will house Hunter’s Hill Eye Care and several other medical offices designed to provide excellent care for the local community’s needs. The building is conveniently located near Intestate 83 and the Route 30 interchange.
To seamlessly blend with the surrounding residential neighborhood and adjacent commercial properties, the exterior is designed in an arts and crafts style with a commercial influence. For the interior, our goal is to provide Hunter’s Hill Eye Care with a customized optometry office for their expanding optometry practice. To achieve this, we designed an upscale interior featuring 1,350 GSF showroom filled with designer eye-ware displays, 8 exam rooms, 4 pre-test and special testing rooms, a contact lens training room, an eyeglass lab, and fitting and adjustment spaces. We were thrilled to break ground on this project and are eager to see our designs come to fruition!
