SAA designed the complete adaptive reuse of a former historic silk mill into condominiums, commercial office space, and an interior garden courtyard. Our offices are now housed within this project.
The industrial aesthetic and warm natural lighting is incorporated into our workplace. With sustainability and adaptive reuse in mind, we have restored and showcased architectural treasures found in the silk mill prior to the renovation. Welcoming our clients into this space reminds us of the historic significance of York’s industrial past, while anticipating the future of adaptive, sustainable architecture.
